Arambol Beach – Shimmering Water

WE were preparing to depart from our friends place in Margoa, where we had spent most of our week .The rest of the gang, the ones who had come by train had left earlier in the day by train. We were the bikers, so we chose to stay and leave late in the night to our next stop, Arambol which is very close to the Goa-Maharastra border. It also happens to be the native place of a friend and on our earlier trip to Goa we had decided that the next time we will travel through Arambol on our way back home to Pune.
So around 5.30 in the evening we bid farewell to our hosts within 10 minutes we were on the highway out of margoa on our way to Arambol. On the way we stopped at Panjim to have a look around, pick up a few t-shirts and we were back on the road.
The road to Arambol is pretty narrow and winding, even more so than Margoa and Panjim. The ride was fun as we liked it that way and half way out of Panjim and we were in the mountains with the sea accompanying us on the left. The journey to Arambol is in the northern direction and as Arambol is located by the sea, unlike Panjim so we were staring at one more of the memorable sunsets of Goa.
Time stands still, as the shimmering waters reflect the final glory of the now red, now maroon sun till it finally vanishes out into the sea.
We came out of our spell, a tad bit slowly; kind of reluctance had come over us. The thought of finding a place to stay and get ourselves a taste of the local feni ensured that we moved on and landed in Arambol before the final lights faded off.
