Dona Paula Beach – In The Memory Of True Love

Goa is a wonderful land filled with beautiful beaches. This never means that all beaches of Goa are alike. Goa has the special feature that each and every beach of the state is unique by distinct characteristics.

Dona Paula beach is named after a girl who threw herself from the cliff when she was not allowed to marry a fisherman. This interesting story attached to the place has a great role in making the beach attractive to tourists. Apart from this, Dona Paula has various interesting water sports awaiting tourists. Another main attraction that tourists love to enjoy when they are in the Dona Paula beach is an effective sun bath.

Dona Paula beach attracts visitors to the Marine biology museum and reference center of taxonomy located on its shores. The governor’s house is known as the Cabo Raj Niwas. This is a famous tourist spot giving wonderful view to the coastline and the famous Aguada Fort.

Location: This is located to the west of Panaji at around seven kilometers distance. It forms the southern side of the headlands dividing suari and Mandovi Estuaries. Querim Beach – The Sandy Shores

Goa has a special beauty lying in the beaches and the sandy shores. Yet every beach has something so special and unique about it. This is the primary reason for the tourist attraction to the shore.

Querim beach is located 5Km to the north of Arambol. You can reach Querim from Arambol through a boat journey. The Querim beach is one of the lengthiest beaches of Goa with three miles extending sand and tall pine trees adding beauty to it. A healthy walk through the beaches in the morning is really a pleasing experience. We can see the solitary figures expecting to do business.

The estuary is a haven for birdlife and is hence a beautiful scene to the eyes. You can see kingfishers of various colors and a list of various other wading birds. This makes Querim beautiful and remote making it an ornithologist’s paradise too. It could appease your eyes to see some of the very rare birds here, and can definitely be counted as one of the unique in the world.

The beach is steep and hence not that suitable for swimming. Visitors should not try swimming in this beach since it is extremely dangerous to do so. The shore is filled with fir trees, which are the main natural attraction drawing tourists. You can even enjoy the beauty of Querim beach from the Terekhol fort. Querim beach draws tourists and they find accommodation in the hotels near by. Most of the tourists love to take a foot trip or boat from Arambol to reach Querim.

Siridao Beach – Beauty of Caves

Once you have visited Goa, you will never feel that this is a land of beaches. This is because; all the beaches are special in its kind and are capable of bringing tourists from another beach located in Goa. The best example which makes this statement true is the Siridao beach.

The location of Siridao is near the Suari estuary. This is a few kilometers away from Panjim. This rocky and sandy beach is well known for the presence of caves which have a mysterious look. This beach is known among tourists as a paradise of shell collectors. This is mainly due to the presence of a wide collection of Oysters and shells of pearls on the Siridao beach.

Another major tourist attraction on the Siridao beach is the Chapel of the Jesus of Nazareth. This brings devotees from all over the world to this church and they come to pay respect to Jesus. This number of devotes increase greatly during the time of Easter. This is to attend the feast held in the church during this time.

As you enter the village, you can see three statues made of stone, designed to play instruments. There is a huge testimony resembling a man, preserved in the village.

The Holy Souls Chapel is another great tourist attraction of the Siridao beach. The beautiful chapel constructed in 1973 is well known for the architectural work of the church. It is situated to the south of the Betul beach and is an ideal place to be when you want to run away to some secluded zone minus the hectic schedule of regular life. This beach is surrounded by a low wall and at the end of it there are also some rocks and a river inlet. It is known to be a very stony and sandy beach sited in the Quepem taluka.

The Canaguinim beach of Goa lets you absorb all its natural movements without much of an effort and even the high waves of the Arabian Sea seem to be at a lazy conflict with each other, occasionally washing up to the shore with a gentle splash. Sitting under the huge coconut trees amidst the vivid green and against the scorching rays also gives you the ideal experience of a Sun bath. 

Accommodation is not at all a problem in the Canaguinim beach. There are a number of rooms available on rent here for the visitors to enjoy a nice and comfortable stay. Commuting to this beach is also not much of a painstaking effort as there is large network of bus routes and one can easily avail a bus from Margao to Cabo De Rama and get a stop at Canaguinim. Velsao Beach – Vivacious Tourist Destination

It is located on the southern-most coast of the Goan territory and is known to be a vivacious tourist destination. Though it is a small stretch of sandy dunes extending only up to 20 kilometers from Mobor to Betul, yet it makes for an excellent short trip unlike that of the other beaches of Goa.

Rajbhag Beach – Dolphin Spotting Trip
