Laid back and relaxed, this seems to be the perfect definition that can be used to describe the Canaguinim beach of Goa. It is situated to the south of the Betul beach and is an ideal place to be when you want to run away to some secluded zone minus the hectic schedule of regular life. This beach is surrounded by a low wall and at the end of it there are also some rocks and a river inlet. It is known to be a very stony and sandy beach sited in the Quepem taluka.
The Canaguinim beach of Goa lets you absorb all its natural movements without much of an effort and even the high waves of the Arabian Sea seem to be at a lazy conflict with each other, occasionally washing up to the shore with a gentle splash. Sitting under the huge coconut trees amidst the vivid green and against the scorching rays also gives you the ideal experience of a Sun bath.
Accommodation is not at all a problem in the Canaguinim beach. There are a number of rooms available on rent here for the visitors to enjoy a nice and comfortable stay. Commuting to this beach is also not much of a painstaking effort as there is large network of bus routes and one can easily avail a bus from Margao to Cabo De Rama and get a stop at Canaguinim. If you are a hard-core beach lover, then this would definitely be the ideal place for your next vacation.

The exquisite beauty of this beach has not yet been explored by the tourists and this beach remains to be a remote destination. However, the seclusion factor of this beach makes it even more attractive to those who prefer to run away from the hectic schedule of their regular life and take retreat amidst the solitude of a secluded beach.

If you are in Goa and if you don’t have a vehicle of your own then you will be missing out on some of the best kept secrets of Goa, places like Polem which can only be discovered accidentally or only a search for it will get you there because this isn’t your conventional and customary commercial haven.
Situated on the southern tip of Goa, is Polem beach, one of the most secluded stretches of beach amongst all the beaches of Goa, also one with a great view and setting amongst them all. If you just want to chill , then all you have to do is head to the nearest beach, find yourself a beach chair or a hammock, and enjoy some of the most sumptuous and exotic seafood that one could ever have. Polem is truly very close to nature and nature is in all of Polem.
It is in Polem that you will find that toddy is still tapped by the locals in the traditional way, by climbing the palm with only a rope tied at the ankles of both the feet. The making of coconut jigger a local sweet can be known by the fragrance that carries for long distances. The chicken xacuti, is as mouth watering as the fish that comes straight from the sea, all seasoned with a locally grown chilly and coconut. Polem being a coastal town, and like other Goan locales took some inspiration from the form and architecture during the previous eras when Portuguese influence paved the way.
Palolem Beach – Get Ready, Here I Come

I traveled from Mumbai to Goa by the Goa Express which runs down the west coast of India. As I traveled, I sat back in my seat enjoying the beautiful view of the coast passing by me, at times, overlooking the Arabian Sea. I was looking forward to being in Goa for the first time—to beautiful beaches, laying in the sun sipping coconut water, visiting some of the old historical places that make Goa a totally unique place in India.
Friends of mine who had visited Goa several times told me to go to Palolem Beach, one of the best beaches in Goa—so I was told, often called Paradise Beach. So with high expectations, I took a bus from Margaon to Palolem Beach. As soon as I saw the beach, the first thing I noticed is the stretch of white sand that dominates the beach, the blueness of the waters. A sense of serenity overtook me. There were other tourists there but I felt comfortably secluded, and yet comfortably secure in this demographic!
There were several accommodations available—guesthouses, simple rooms; even the locals will accommodate you! But I love the outdoors, so I rented a tent. I went to sleep that night listening to the waves of the Sea amidst the calm of the night. It was wonderful. The day came but I was in no hurry to explore, just yet! I laid on the beach, absorbing the beauty of this scenic place. Here I blended with the sun and sand, and the rhythmic lull of the beach. Heavenly!! I could live here forever!
The next day I was ready to do a bit of exploration. The beach is about a mile long. At the northern end of the beach was a fresh water stream and across this stream was a tiny island, easy enough for me to swim to.
