Colva is well known as the oldest, largest and of all Goan beaches. This is a famous beach on the southern part of Goa. This is situated around 6Kms towards the west of Margao. The beach extends with over 25Kms of white sand powder. The shore is lined up of coconut palms that extend to two other beaches, the Bogmalo on the northern side and Cabo de Rama on the southern side of Colva.
In the modern world, Colva is full of beautiful houses and villages that add beauty to this small tourist spot. This has also resulted in the commercialization of Colva. Apart from the major attractions of the beach, Colva has the Menino Jesus statue ready to welcome tourists. The statue has a special place in the history of Colva. This statue holds a story along with it which is so close to the history, culture and tradition of Goa.
You can reach Colva through bus services from Margao and Vasco-da-Gama. The place is also reachable through rail. Such an easy reachable location of Colva has added to the popularity of Colva. Colva has been a major tourist spot in Goa with uniqueness in various areas.
