Basilica Of Bom Jesus Church

On December 3 1552 a great saint, Francis Xavier died on his way to china. Millions of pilgrims from around the world flock to Basilica of Bom Jesus. The remains of this great saint lie in this Church, which attract many. The St Francis Xavier’s body lies as fresh as it was when he was buried. Since then it has been in the beautiful silver casket resting and giving pilgrim’s blessings.  The saint died on his voyage to china; however it was his wish to be buried in Goa. St Francis Xavier provided protection to state rulers. It was believed that the great saint had healing powers.
