The Church of Holy Spirit has been destroyed and built many times since it first came into existence. However the current structure is the same as that which was last built in 1675. The church has a unique entrance through a side. However, the interiors are beautiful from the ceiling to the floors. The huge cross in the Church dates back from early 17th century. There are many other Portuguese mansions around the Church. Hence it is called as church square. The Church was made after destroying the Hindu temple, which has been the problem for it going down time, and time again.
